BUNCO & BOOS

November 27th was a rainy, windy, cold night for the Kiwanis Club of Warrenton’s new Bunco and Boos Event.  Using the newly opened Mary Lou Center in Truesdale, members of the Warrenton Area Kiwanis Club hosted a memorable night featuring Bunco Games and fun times. The event was held to raise money for high school scholarships and three new Terrific Kids programs in three elementary schools.

As the players arrived, they were greeted by giant ghosts, dragons, and spiders. Attendees were able to try their luck at winning raffle baskets on display and enjoyed mini sandwiches, hot food, and dessert.

Several specialty adult beverages were offered such as the Carmel Apple Cider Brew concocted by past president and brewmaster Becca Gasperoni.

Halloween background music added a spooky ambience throughout the night and   the club’s MC shared Warrenton Kiwanis local achievements as well as the history of Kiwanis and how communities benefit from Kiwanis being part of the local community.

At the end of the evening best costume, multiple Bunco prizes and raffle winners were announced by club president Katie Joyce.

Kiwanis members all pitched in for a fun inaugural fundraiser.
